Here at Gold'n Country Gifts, Home and Garden Decor. We thrive on recycle, reuse, rethink. Our outside garden area is packed with items that have been saved from landfills. Some of the reclaimed items are LP tanks, old garden tools, doorknobs and milk cans, that are made into garden critter art, such as shovel birdbaths, pipe wrench dragonflies, bugs, chain snakes. Our daughter paints on salvaged wood screens, old shovels and washtubs. Reclaimed cast iron sinks are turned into planters, iron baby beds are used for garden trellis, old bed springs are turned into sheep. Recycled metal ice chest and old metal mop pails are turned into water fountains in the summer. Barn boards and old windows are used for window cupboards. We have even taken five old old French doors and made a garden room. We've used old jars and spice bottles by filling them with old vintage ornaments and old buttons, salvaged prisms from old chandeliers are used for ornaments. Old colored wine glasses are hung in our garden trees for color. Toboggans are made into shelf units, old sleds and skates are made into winter porch arrangements. Wreaths are filled with vintage Christmas ornaments. I could go on for hours, the ideas we have are endless and so much fun, come and see for your self. It is ever changing.
